This traditional Irish brown bread gets a nutritional upgrade with Fox Covert Farm Hemp Hearts. Preheat your fan oven to 200°C.
Sieve the white flour into a large bowl, then add the wholemeal flour, Fox Covert Farm Hemp Hearts, baking soda, and sea salt. Mix together.
Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in most of the buttermilk and the honey.
Using one hand with fingers outstretched, mix with a full circular movement from the centre to the outside of the bowl, gradually drawing in the flour from the sides. Add a little more milk if needed. The dough should be softish — not too wet or sticky. Mix as gently and quickly as possible without overworking it to keep the bread light and airy.
